“It is specified that the participant is adequately insured for participation in club outings or regattas—both for civil liability and for damage to his or her boat—with an insurance company of proven financial standing. The participant (along with his or her passengers) agrees to waive any claim against the club or the organizers—whether legal entities or individuals—in connection with this offshore outing. The participant retains full control over the navigation, his or her boat, and all decisions made on board.”
